The Far East Hotel was established in 1940, which is one of the minority old hotels in Beijing. It is located in the southwest of Tian'anmen Square. Guests would spend only 20 minutes in getting to Tian'anmen Square and the Imperial Palace on foot, and it is 4 kilometres away from the hotel to Beijing West Station.
The hotel closes up Zhengsisi Opera House in the north, and the Former Residence of Ji Xiaolan in the south, while drawing near Dashilan Commercial Area in the east and Liulichang Cultural Region in the west.
