The staff at this hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we stepped out of the airport to the moment we were driven back (between 80-100rmb each way). Very clean rooms and facilities, seems like a fairly new remodeling. Wifi was great too. heres a large outdoor restaurant on the main road about a five minute walk from the place that we had one of the best meals of our visit, across the street from the gas station. The rooms were freezing until we realized there were heating pads on the beds, which made sleeping very comfortable. When we arrived, there were a ton of mosquitos in the room, but we didnt get a single bite which we were surprised by. Only thing we didnt like about the rooms were the bathrooms—the shower stalls leak,and the frosted glass separating the bed from the toilet doesnt offer much privacy. The location was on the opposite end of the old town from the main stretch, which meant very quiet sleeping, but a bit inconvenient location-wise. The way we were told to walk would result in us having to circle around the entire old town from the outside, which would take over 30 minutes. When we took a look at Baidu map ourselves, we realized walking the opposite direction would get us there in half the time, and was not very confusing, especially with a smartphone. Also, whenever we got in a taxi and gave the directions to the hotel, every one of the drivers would initially refuse to take us, since its not in a highly foot trafficked area—it would take us several attempts to get a ride back,which was especially a pain when my friend got sick from a meal in old town.
