YHA Wushanyi International Youth Hostel Hangzhou is the first franchised hotel of YHA China in Hangzhou. The hotel passed Hi-Q high quality youth hostel certification twice in 2014 and 2017; In 2016, he won the 'Youth Hostel ten year service' award from China International Youth Hostel Association.
In April 2011, the hostel was relocated from the site at the foot of Chenghuang Pavilion in Wushan, which had been operated for six years, to Yujie street and Qinghefang historical district in Southern Song Dynasty. This area is the location of the imperial city of the Southern Song Dynasty. Many modern commercial buildings and Western classical buildings, such as the imperial city ruins, the former residences of celebrities and the century old shops, are preserved along the Yujie street.
The hostel was rebuilt from brick buildings in the 1950s and 1960s. It is about 100 meters away from the drum tower, Hu qingyutang traditional Chinese Medicine Museum, Hu Xueyan's former residence, Qinghefang pedestrian street, Yu Street Pedestrian Street and Gaoyin food street. Within 15 minutes walk from the hostel to Wushan Square and Yintai department store, about 20 minutes walk to the West Lake, less than 2 kilometers to Hangzhou City railway station. Many bus lines pass through Gulou station, and are close to various shops, restaurants, snacks, public bicycle spots. The transportation is fast and convenient.
